Rare french napoleonic versailles infantry sword in very good general condition. Absolutely authentic.
29 inch overall length. Very good versailles and other profo marks stamped brass hilt. Very good 23 ½ inch blade showing some surface oxidation and some light stining in areas. Evidence of sharpening. Fine klingenthal impeiral manufacture spine markings.
Blade and hilt perfectly tight together. In its very good brass mounted leather scabbard showing normal wear to teh leather. All solid stitching. A classic french 1st empire hanegr from the desirable versailles manufacture!
