Excavated War Of 1812 Era Us Pewter Rifleman Button
I was lucky enough to acquire a fresh collection of military artifacts from the american revolution, the war of 1812 and the civli war. I will be listing much of that grouping this week so please check my other listings for additional parts of that collection. This is an excavated war of 1812 period u. S. Rifleman button embossed with a field of 15 stars and an infantry horn and the word rifle inside that.
It is made of pewter and has remnants of a shank on the reverse side with a signature of hte maker. L.
